As a Health Care Assistant, you will support the day-to-day delivery of patient care by carrying out routine clinical checks such as blood tests, blood pressure, ECGs, and basic observations. You will play an important role in helping patients manage their health by supporting reviews for long-term conditions and completing NHS Health Checks.
You will work closely with nurses, GPs, and the wider team to ensure clinics run smoothly, preparing equipment, maintaining clean and safe clinical areas, and accurately recording information on clinical systems such as EMIS Web.
The role also involves engaging with patients in a supportive and professional way, offering basic health advice and ensuring a positive patient experience. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety by following infection control procedures, recognising any concerns, and escalating appropriately.
