We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused Payroll Officer to manage the payroll function for HCPC Partners. This role is essential in ensuring the timely, accurate and compliant payment of our non‑employee Partners. You will oversee the full payroll cycle, process time‑sheets, calculate holiday pay and pension contributions, and act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the end‑to‑end payroll process for HCPC Partners using verified data uploads and time‑sheet bookings.
• Calculating and processing holiday pay and employer pension contributions in line with relevant policies.
• Using advanced Excel functionality, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis tools, to manage, verify and reconcile payroll data.
• Ensuring all payroll activity is accurate, timely and compliant with internal deadlines
• Verifying and processing time‑sheet submissions from Partners
• Resolving time‑sheet discrepancies by liaising with Partners and relevant departments.
• Acting as the main point of contact for Partner payroll queries
• Working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and budget alignment
What we are looking for:
• Working towards becoming CIPP Qualified and a current active member of the CIPP.
• A proven track record of managing a highly effective Payroll and/or Pension office to include a working knowledge of statutory requirements affecting PAYE, Defined Contribution Pension schemes and benefit structures.
• A strong understanding of manual and computerised payroll systems and principles.
• Ability to interpret and to reconcile complex financial data from a variety of sources using tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
