Description

Pensions Associate (1–4 PQE) | Magic Circle Firm | London

A market leading pensions team at a well known Magic Circle firm is looking to hire a high-calibre Pensions Associate (1–4 PQE) to join its London practice.

This is an opportunity to join a top-tier team advising on some of the most high-profile, complex and technically challenging pensions matters in the UK market, working with trustees, corporates and sponsors across schemes of all sizes, from mid-market to multi-billion-pound arrangements.

The Role

You will work across a broad and balanced pensions practice, including advisory, transactional and contentious matters. The team is particularly strong in:

  • Strategic advisory work on highly technical pensions issues (including equalisation, funding and scheme design)
  • De-risking transactions, including large-scale buy-ins and buy-outs
  • Pensions aspects of corporate transactions, working closely with leading M&A teams
  • Dispute resolution, including regulatory investigations and High Court proceedings

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of matters, work directly with clients and play a key role in coordinating across practice areas on complex, multi-disciplinary transactions.

Why this team?

  • Market leading practice with a reputation for excellence on high-profile mandates
  • Exposure to some of the largest and most complex pensions transactions in the UK
  • Unique collegiate and non-hierarchical culture, with strong collaboration across teams
  • No billable hour targets, supporting a more balanced working environment
  • Strong emphasis on training, development and long-term career progression
  • Significant international exposure, with cross-border elements in much of the work

The Candidate

  • UK-qualified pensions lawyer with 1–4 years’ PQE
  • Excellent technical ability combined with commercial awareness
  • Experience advising on complex pensions matters and transactions

If you are looking to join a top-tier pensions platform with genuinely market-leading work and culture, please get in touch to discuss further.
