We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Engineer to join our team. This role requires excellent hands-on experience in all phases of the performance testing lifecycle, from planning and scripting to execution, analysis, and reporting. They will work closely with development team to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure the delivery of high-quality, performant software solutions.


Job Location: Belfast (Hybrid)


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive performance test plans based on system requirements, user behaviour, and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts for Ul and API layers using industry-leading tools.
  • Execute various types of performance tests, including load, stress, capacity etc
  • Monitor system performance during test execution, collecting critical metrics related to response times, throughput, resource utilization (CPU, memory, network, disk 1/O), and error rates.
  • Analyse test results, identify performance bottlenecks, root causes, and suggest actionable recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Prepare detailed performance test reports, summarizing findings, analysis, and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, QA, support teams to address performance.

  • Required Skills & Experience

    • Proven excellent hands-on experience in planning, scripting, executing, and analysing performance tests for Ul and APl applications.
    • Strong proficiency with leading performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar.
    • Solid understanding of performance metrics, monitoring tools, and techniques for analysing performance data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation and data manipulation.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and present performance results and recommendations to a wider audience, including senior management.
