NHS England Workforce Training and Education (WTE) manages the education, training and development of NHS clinical professionals including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, doctors, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals.
This post supports pharmacy technician training across the East of England working with the Pharmacy Education team. You will be working across Integrated Care Systems (ICS) in East of England.
You will be responsible for providing professional leadership, together with expertise, advice and support to:
- Supporting employers, and training hubs in the ICSs to develop their local pharmacy technician workstreams.
- Act as the point of contact for pharmacy technician enquiries
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders in identifying key steps to embed and expand pharmacy technician pre-registration training and post registration posts.
- Support pharmacy technician pre-registration trainees requiring further support during their training period.
- Contribute to the availability of high quality training and support for pharmacy technician trainees and educational supervisors.
- Develop regional networks to provide peer support for employers and placement providers.
- Promote the Pharmacy Technician Pre-registration Trainee (PTPT) Integrated Training Scheme with stakeholders in the ICSs.
- Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education.
