An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Healthcare Support Worker based in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda (YCR) Hospital on the In patient rehabilitation wards. The successful candidate will support the physiotherapists and the multi-disciplinary team to provide physiotherapy intervention and facilitate hospital discharges. The post will mainly involve working with the elderly. Experience of working within a therapy role or within a healthcare setting would be an advantage for this role.
The hours will be 37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the physiotherapy team as well as the multidisciplinary team and will work under supervision and guidance of trained physiotherapists to: provide direct intervention to patients; assist with administrative tasks and information gathering (including data collection and inputting); and to promote best quality patient care throughout the in-patient admission.
Full training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is supported and a competency framework will be used to ensure they have the appropriate skills to assist with physiotherapy treatments, and to carry a caseload of patients where mobilisation and exercise plans need to be complete.
