Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role within the team in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the energy sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules / plans.

  • Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to track and monitor project progress, as well as support delivery forecasting/look-aheads.
  • Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to develop and support change / impact programmes with the wider delivery teams.
  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures.
  • Identify potential programme risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales.
  • Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates, through programme utilisation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes.

  • Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
    • Strong Knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
    • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
    • Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
    • Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
    • Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
    • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
