We’re currently looking for a Plant Accountant in Preston, Victoria.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transactional accounting
• Inventory and cost accounting support
• Reconciliations
• Financial accounting
• Financial compliance
• Month end and year end reporting
  
  

Indicative Tasks Include

• Daily accounting operations including accruals, prepayment and production cost adjustments

Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including disposals and additions

Support reconciliations and general ledger maintenance

Support manufacturing and cost accounting by maintaining BOM and standard costs, assisting with new product and annual cost updates, reconciling inventory accounts and monitoring stock variances and stock take processes

Reporting and analysis support by assisting with month-end reconciliation and management reports, preparing operational KPI dashboard, gathering data to support budgeting and forecasting

Manage capex and fixed assets by uploading CEPs for approval, tracking project spend and applying capitalization rules and maintaining the fixed register

Support compliance and internal controls by ensuring accurate documentation for audits, maintaining adherence to accounting policies and control procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes.

Promote health, safety, and compliance by following safe work practices, protecting the confidentiality and integrity of financial information, and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
