The Plant & Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and driving operational performance across the North. This role manages fleet and plant teams, equipment maintenance, logistics operations, safety compliance, and staff leadership.
The role ensures the efficient utilisation of plant machinery and transport assets, while maintaining high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

- Drive business growth and improve operational efficiency across plant and transport functions.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of plant and transport operations.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of fleet and equipment to maximise productivity and cost efficiency.
- Maintain full compliance with all health and safety legislation and industry regulations.
- Lead, develop, and mentor operations managers, supervisors, and administrative teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the group.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including fleet utilisation, downtime, safety performance, and profitability.
- Collaborate with key members of the plant and transport team to identify and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of plant and fleet management systems, along with transport regulations.
- CPC Transport Manager qualification (essential).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
