We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive General Practice team for 30 hours per week. The role is offered with the salary based onAgenda for Change Band 4 or Band 5, dependent on experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team, supporting safe, effective and efficient medicines management for our patients. You will play a key role in medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge, repeat prescribing processes, medication queries, high-risk drug monitoring, audits and medicines optimisation work.
You will work closely with GPs, our Lead Clinical Pharmacist, clinical pharmacists, nurses, administration teams, community pharmacies, care homes and patients to help improve prescribing safety, reduce medicines-related risk and support high-quality patient care.
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, has excellent attention to detail and is confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in primary care is desirable.

The Pharmacy Technician will work as part of the practice multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective and efficient medicines management across the practice population.
The post holder will support repeat prescribing processes, medicines reconciliation, medication queries, high-risk drug monitoring, prescribing safety audits and medicines optimisation work. The role will involve working closely with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, administrative teams, community pharmacies, care homes, hospital teams, patients and carers.
The post holder will work within agreed protocols, professional competence and practice policies, escalating clinical or safety concerns to the GP or pharmacist as appropriate.
