We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner psychologist interested in a personally rewarding and fulfilling role working with complex cases. You will be responsible for providing psychological support to service users and teams across the Acute Care pathway in Basingstoke. The service includes male and female wards, a 6-bed MOD ward and a PICU.
We encourage applications from individuals looking for preceptorship from Band 7 to 8aand welcome applications from unqualified practitioners who are nearing completion of their training.
The Acute and Crisis Division comprises of practitioner psychologists, psychological therapists and assistant psychologists, with expertise in a range of approaches (e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT and CAT). You will join a workforce committed to providing trauma-informed care and creating a psychologically informed culture supporting the stabilisation of adults with acute mental health difficulties. We work with a range of presentations including psychosis, trauma and relational difficulties. You will provide psychological assessment and brief 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions as well as indirect support such as offering consultation and training to staff in the team.
Our psychological provision uses Comprehend, Cope & Connect (CCC) as our structured clinical management approach. Training in CCC will be provided.
