At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people’s lives.
Hours: Up to 4 days a month for initially 18 months (31/10/27)
Payment: a fee of £30 per hour will be paid to cover time and expenses
Bath & North East Somerset Council is looking for a passionate, driven and motivated volunteer to lead the Twerton and Whiteway Pride in Place programme.
Pride in Place is bringing up to £20 million of funding to Twerton and Whiteway to help improve opportunities for everyone over the next ten years. The programme is community-led and puts decision making in hands of local people. Any member of the local community can get involved and play their part.
A new Neighbourhood Board will be set up to manage the programme and be champions of the local community. The Board will be led by you, an independent Chairperson.
As The Chairperson You Will Provide Strategic And Dynamic Leadership For The Neighbourhood Board. There Are No Specific Qualifications Required For This Role, But You Must Be:

- A strong leader
In this role, you may not be an elected official e.g. A Member of Parliament, Cabinet Member, or Ward Councillor. In addition, you may not have any familial connections to the elected representatives currently in these roles.

Location: Flexible with an expectation to attend in-person Board meetings, meet members of the community and attend site visits, meetings and events in Twerton and Whiteway as well as Bath and further afield.
