About the team:

We're looking for a Principal Engineer (Payments) to play a pivotal leadership role across our payments and core banking technology landscape. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong people and delivery leadership, shaping how we design, build and run payment solutions across the Group.
Working closely with senior technology and value stream leaders, and reporting to the Group Head of Technical Delivery, you'll help define strategy while actively driving end-to-end delivery to ensure our platforms are secure, scalable and future-ready.
The role can be based from our Wolverhampton, Chatham or London office and will require occasional travel between all OSB Group locations.
What you will be doing:
As a Principal Engineer you'll provide hands-on technical leadership across engineering teams delivering and operating our payments platforms, including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, cards, Open Banking and mobile wallets.
