Principal IAM Engineer (Identity Tech Lead)

Location: Hammersmith, London (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)

Salary: Up to £90,000 + 5% Bonus

As we undergo a massive technology transformation, we are looking for a Principal IAM Engineer to act as the technical lead for our Identity and Access Management landscape.

You will lead the design, build, and deployment of identity solutions across a complex hybrid infrastructure (On-Prem & Azure), ensuring our legacy of luxury is matched by a future of uncompromising security.

The Role

Reporting into the security leadership, you will be the Technical Lead for the identity portion of our modernisation project. We currently utilise the One Identity suite; while experience here is a plus, we value your architectural mindset and security-first approach above specific tooling.

Your Core Focus:

Design & Deploy: Architect and implement end-to-end IAM and PAM solutions that bridge the gap between our on-premise roots and our Azure future.

Security Hardening: Move beyond "functional" identity. You will secure the technologies you deploy, hardening Active Directory, protecting Domain Admins, and ensuring Tenant security is airtight.

Privileged Access: Lead the implementation of PIM and PAM strategies to eliminate standing privileges and enforce the Principle of Least Privilege.

Modern Authentication: Mature our SSO environment and access controls to provide a seamless, yet secure, experience for our global workforce.

The Microsoft Expert: You possess deep, proven knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
The Security Purist: You don’t just know how to make a group; you know how to restrict it. You understand how to protect a tenant and the critical importance of identity tiering.
The Tech Lead: You are comfortable leading high-stakes projects, making technical decisions, and mentoring others as we grow the internal team.
Tool-Agnostic:

Whether it’s PIM, PAM, or IGA, you understand the logic behind the tools. You are ready to master One Identity or pivot to new technologies as the business scales.
