Description
The Vacancy

RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Hemel Hempstead, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in-house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
  • Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
  • Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
  • Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain effective communication with design team and other stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of:
  • Highway design and ground modelling.
  • Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
  • External works levels design, including Part M.
  • Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Software package experience:
    • Autocad,
    • PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar),
    • Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar),
    • Microsoft packages.
  • Ideally 5-10 years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
  • Educated to degree or HNC level.
