Privacy Counsel - Leading media & adtech business

Hybrid-working - 3 days/week in Central London

Open to a 4 or 5 day working week

Up to £100,000 (for full-time), or £80,000 (for a 4 day working week)


An industry leading business in the media sector, with a diverse set of business operations, are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join to lead on all privacy legal matters. This role will provide a great deal of exposure to a varied set of privacy challenges, and will allow you to work with a high degree of autonomy.


Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of privacy legal issues across the various business lines
  • Product counselling - advise product & engineering teams on products, features & systems from a privacy perspective
  • Privacy compliance activities incl. DPIAs, LIAs, ROPA maintenance, developing privacy policies, overseeing DSARs etc.
  • Drafting & reviewing privacy aspects of commercial contracts


Requirements

  • UK-qualified lawyer with c. 3+ years PQE
  • Deep expertise in data privacy - any prior experience advising on the topic of adtech is highly desired
  • Open to both private practice & in-house backgrounds
