The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Private Client department in our Cheshire office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in private client law within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and legal support to fee earners within the Private Client team
- Assisting with the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and probate documentation
- Drafting and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Managing and maintaining client files in line with regulatory requirements
- Liaising with clients, executors, and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner
- Handling telephone and email enquiries
- Supporting with billing, time recording, and general office administration
- Conducting legal research where required
About You
- Previous experience in a legal assistant or administrative role, ideally within Private Client (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with client matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
