Location: Radway Green – Full time onsite
Salary: Up to £45,177 basic + 25% shift allowance (3-shift Rota; shorter Fridays) (dependent on skills and experience)

Role Description
You will be responsible for managing manufacturing operations efficiently while ensuring compliance with SHE policies, legislation, and safe systems of work. You will maintain a safe working environment and deliver key manufacturing targets, including quality performance and cost reporting, supporting overall operational objectives. You will lead and support the manufacturing team to drive performance, development, and continuous improvement. The role also involves ensuring cost-effective area management, applying lean tools and problem-solving techniques, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support sustained operational excellence.
Core Duties
Efficiently managing the operation of manufacturing processes
Taking responsibility for the safety of employees working within the manufacturing area
Implementing the SHE policy, legislation, and safe systems of work
Leading the delivery of manufacturing KPI’s including quality and cost reporting
Managing your team and providing the right support to help them excel and succeed
Ensuring that the manufacturing area is managed in a cost effective and efficient way
Supporting and implementing CI activities utilising lean tools & problem-solving technique
Scheduling and supporting maintenance activities within your area
Essential Skills
You will hold a time-served Engineering apprenticeship
You will have demonstratable experience leading a team, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience or qualifications in health and safety practices, including IOSH or NEBOSH certification, SAP system experience, and knowledge of COMAH regulations or hazardous environments is advantageous

The Manufacturing Team
As a Manufacturing Process Leader, you’ll drive efficiency and continuous improvement in high-volume small arms ammunition production, leading a team of technicians and operators across rotating shifts. Collaborating closely with the Process Improvement Manager and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll ensure production targets are met safely and with the highest quality standards.
