Procurement Specialist

Exciting Opportunity: Procurement Specialist | Permanent

Following a strong period of growth, our client - one of the largest and most respected housing providers in the South of England - is expanding their Finance Directorate and looking to welcome an experienced Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis.

The role is due to start - subject to notice - on a permanent basis contract and the salary per annum is £32,399 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a procurement role and ideally have experience working in the social housing sector.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Create clear specifications, performance criteria and documents for quotation and/or for tender purpose
• Publish quotations/tenders via electronic procurement portal (In-Tend)
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures when undertaken any purchasing activity
• Complete quote and tender price and quality evaluations including moderation
• Produce contract award reports for approval
• Build and maintain strong supplier working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
• Support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers with projects as and when required including administrative tasks
• Undertake research into new requirements and suppliers
• Bring new ideas and support continuous improvement within the Procurement Team

Experiencerequired:

• Experience of working within a procurement role
• Housing sector experience preferred
• Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (currently)
• Energetic and a passion to learn and develop own skills
• Able to build and maintain strong working relationship with colleagues and suppliers
• Able to manage time effectively, meet deadlines and re-prioritise tasks to achieve targets
• Problem-solver who welcomes change
