The role:
You will be required to monitor and assess changes to regulation that may impact the ability of the business to sell, transport, or supply products and services. The role will act as the primary point of contact within the RS business for enquiries linked to regulatory change.
This role sits within the Product Compliance team of the Global Transactional Compliance (GTC) function. GTC reports into Group Supply Chain and supports and enables strategic and tactical business aims in line with local and global regulations. The Product Compliance team act as a subject matter expect in regulations which impact the supply chain.
This is a hyrbid working role in either Corby, Manchester or London.
What you’ll be doing:
- Research Legislation: Stay updated on new, proposed, and emerging legislation to assess its relevance and impact on the business.
- Networking: Collaborate across the business to understand the implications of global regulatory changes on the supply chain.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with your direct line manager, the Global Transactional Compliance Manager, and other global internal stakeholders to raise awareness about product and supply chain regulatory changes.
- Risk Communication: Clearly communicate the risks and necessary actions resulting from regulatory changes.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledge of product compliance (incorporating product regulatory, standards and related topics).
About you:
- Ability to research complex information and interpret key points.
- Ability to present complex information in a form readily understood by the intended recipients.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a global matrix organization.
- Demonstrable ability to use analysis tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access Databases.
- At least some familiarity with compliance requirements for product, trade, transport, and customs import/export.
- Degree in a relevant field such as policy, business, law, engineering or Masters/PhD degree involving complex/technical research requirements.
Desirable experience we will be looking for:
- Experience of working in a complex supply chain setting
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
- Degree or Research experience in a relevant field such as policy, business, law, engineering
