The Role
As a
Product Support Engineer, you will support our fleet of devices deployed both externally As a
Product Support Technician, you will provide hands-on support to our existing fleet of devices. You will help assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot prototype systems across electronic, software, and mechanical domains, ensuring they are reliable, functional, and ready for internal and external use. Additionally, you will assist the product development organisation with electronics and mechanical rework, testing, and construction of cables and test fixtures.
This role is ideal for a technician with strong hands-on skills, a process mindset, and an interest in supporting products throughout their life cycle.
Please note - this role is based in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and supporting an existing fleet of prototypes, including assembly, rework, calibration, and updates.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting across electronics, basic software setup, and mechanical assemblies.
- Conduct repairs, part replacements, board rework, and system-level checks under engineer guidance.
- Perform soldering (through-hole and SMT rework), crimping, cable assembly, and general electronics handling.
- Use lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, microscopes, and test jigs.
- Support optical subsystem alignment or testing where applicable (experience not required, training provided).
- Assemble mechanical subcomponents, housings, and fixtures with high attention to detail.
