BAE are seeking a number of Stores Operative to join their team. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations in a high-standard manufacturing environment, where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. You will be responsible for supporting inventory management, ensuring materials are correctly supplied and accounted for, and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of production and storage equipment.
  • Manage stock levels through accurate recording of stock movement and cycle counting activities.
  • Ensure materials are correctly fed into production lines, supporting seamless manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections and test materials for compliance using gauge tools.
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations, including PPE usage and SOP adherence.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and safety meetings to uphold operational standards.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or concerns promptly to ensure workplace safety.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by implementing lean principles and process enhancements.
  • Job Requirements:

    • Experience in materials handling, inventory management, or related manufacturing roles.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of working with production machinery and equipment is advantageous.
    • Proactive approach with good attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively within a team and follow detailed procedures.
    • Basic IT skills for data entry and record keeping.
    • Relevant numeracy and literacy qualifications, such as O level standard, are preferred.
