Programme Director – Global D365 F&O Transformation Programme
Location: UK, Europe, or US East Coast (Hybrid/Flexible)
Contract: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £130,000 - £160,000 + bonus
Travel: International x1 a year and regional travel x5 a year
The Opportunity
Our client is undertaking a major global business transformation programme centred around the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) across multiple international business units.
Having successfully completed the initial finance implementation at corporate headquarters, the programme is now entering its next phase, with further deployments planned across several business units in Europe and North America. The organisation's vision is to establish a single D365 instance across all business units, driving standardisation, consistency, and operational efficiency while minimising customisation.
To support this journey, we are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead, coordinate, and orchestrate this complex, multi-year transformation programme.
The Role
This is a highly visible and business-critical position, responsible for ensuring alignment across multiple business units, stakeholders, and delivery partners throughout the programme lifec
ycle.Acting as the central point of coordination, you will oversee programme governance, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, funding alignment, and successful delivery across multiple implementation waves. You will work closely with senior business leaders, programme teams, and implementation partners to ensure all stakeholders remain engaged, informed, and committed to programme objectives.
This role extends beyond technology delivery. Success will depend on your ability to connect business strategy with programme execution, ensuring that organisational change, operational readiness, IT support, and business adoption are fully aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and governance for a global D365 F&O transformation programme.
- Drive alignment across multiple international business units and functional leadership
- teams.
- Ensure business stakeholders understand and support programme objectives and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate programme resources, dependencies, budgets, and delivery plans across multiple implementation waves.
- Escalate and resolve risks, issues, and resource constraints proactively.
- Lead programme communications, ensuring clear visibility of milestones, responsibilities, and progress.
- Work closely with implementation partners and internal delivery teams to ensure successful execution.
- Secure stakeholder commitment and maintain engagement throughout the transformation journey.
- Oversee programme planning, reporting, governance forums, and executive updates.
- Ensure organisational readiness, change management, support models, and operational transition activities are effectively managed.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and programme peers across multiple geographies.
