Project Manager

About The Role

Balfour Beatty (Urban Fox) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing team in Scotland.

Base location can be flexible (Scotland wide) - Travel will be required

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing EV charging

projects in the construction and installation side of the business, including working

with clients, partners, suppliers and sub-contractors.

This includes, but is not limited to the duties described below:

• Planning and controlling the preparation of construction and installation of EV charging sites prior to commencement of civils and installation works by partners and sub-contractors throughout the project life span.
• Ensuring that all activities and operations by our partners and sub-contractors are performed in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing business operations.
• Assist in the planning methodology for each project stage and monitor progress against agreed completion dates.
• Ensuring all permissions and approvals are secured (from initial design through to final commissioning) and supplier/contractor management and on-site health & safety, environmental and sustainability aspects are adhered to.

Perform audit and surveillance duties on sites operated by partners and sub- contractors.

Manage external relationships with external suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring high quality output and value for money is achieved.

Estimate costs of overheads, materials, labour and equipment for use in Tenders

Working closely as required with the Sales and Commercial teams to advise and assist in considering and putting tender bids together

Who we're looking for

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of delivering on-street EV charging infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing work in progress.
• Able to manage multiple projects (with competing time and resource challenges) from initial concept through to final delivery.
• Able to work collaboratively across diverse teams with a strong focus on delivering results with quality and creativity.
• Team player with ability to work collaboratively with individuals, clients and sub-contractors across multiple geographical locations.

Adapts positively to changing business demands.

A self-starter with good organisation skills and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines.

Good stakeholder management skills, with experience of setting, measuring and delivering goals.

Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events

A driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience of communicating with diverse audiences.
