Description

The Opportunity

Liberty Industrial is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of an ongoing industrial demolition, decommissioning and remediation project in Scotland, while also supporting Liberty Industrial’s growing portfolio of projects across the UK and Europe.

This is a senior delivery role suited to a confident, autonomous Project Manager who can operate effectively within a remote management structure and maintain strong oversight across site teams, clients, and stakeholders. While the initial focus will be on a live contract, the role is intended to support Liberty Industrial’s broader regional growth over time.

Experience in industrial demolition and decommissioning is highly regarded, however candidates with proven experience managing complex industrial projects in sectors such as oil & gas, power generation, mining, heavy industry, civil construction or infrastructure are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of an ongoing industrial demolition and remediation contract, ensuring safe, timely, cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage all phases of project execution from planning through to completion, maintaining strong control of programme, cost, risk and resources.
  • Lead and coordinate site and project teams across demolition, civil and remediation scopes, working effectively with both blue- and white-collar workforces.
  • Operate confidently within a remote management structure, maintaining clear communication, visibility and accountability across geographically dispersed leadership teams (Australia, UK, Denmark).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, subcontractors and key stakeholders, building strong working relationships and ensuring alignment throughout delivery.
  • Champion Liberty Industrial’s safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with HSEQ systems, UK regulatory requirements and environmental controls, particularly within complex or sensitive industrial environments.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, variations and reporting, identifying risks early and implementing practical mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute operational leadership and delivery expertise to Liberty Industrial’s broader UK and European project pipeline beyond the initial contract.

  • About You

    • Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering industrial, demolition, remediation, or heavy civil works projects.
    • Experience on major industrial facilities such as power stations, refineries, manufacturing plants, or similar brownfield environments a clear advantage.
    • Comfortable working within a remote leadership structure, with strong self-direction, communication, and decision-making capability.
    • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
    • Strong safety leadership and a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
    • Experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools is desirable.
    • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

    What We Offer

    • The opportunity to contribute to the sustainable closure and transformation of major industrial facilities across the UK and Europe.
    • Exposure to a growing international project pipeline with long-term career potential.
    • A senior role offering autonomy, trust, and influence within an expanding regional business.
    • An inclusive, values-driven culture focused on safety, integrity, and technical excellence.
    • To support the site-based nature of the role, Liberty Industrial will provide accommodation and cover travel expenses associated with project requirements.
