Where will you be working?

At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Civils projects team - We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

This role is based throughout the southwest. It will offer hybrid working between home, site offices and National Highways offices in Bristol and Exeter.

What will you be doing?

You'll manage the successful delivery of multiple, concurrent highways and civil engineering projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Oversee day-to-day site operations, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimise programme risk and disruption.

You'll act as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project life cycle.

Ensuring compliance with highest standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies in all project activities.

You'll support the business in securing future projects by contributing to bids, presentations, and developing lasting client partnerships.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience managing highways or civil engineering projects, with a strong understanding of National Highways’ requirements and methodologies.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the construction and maintenance of highways infrastructure, including bridges, earthworks, and complex structures.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management), ideally holding or working towards Chartered status.
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to team management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Committed to continuous professional development, keen to innovate, and motivated to drive improvements within the business and across the broader industry.
