Description
The Project Manager role exists to provide management and construction expertise to support Project Delivery (i.e., Safety, Commercial, Programme, People and Quality). To provide the overall leadership of the construction team in delivering the scope of work within a major work package or project to the defined cost, time and quality and contractual requirements. Implement Kilnbridge Values, Safety Management Systems and personally set the standard of zero tolerance of unsafe practices and occurrences. Ensuring that all projects deliver the contracted engineering requirements using the highest levels of technical expertise and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Company representative across all project interfaces
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations
  • Establish and lead the project team, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and behaviours align with Kilnbridge objectives
  • Develop and manage the construction programme, ensuring delivery to cost, time, quality, and contractual requirements
  • Ensure project requirements, scope, and documentation are fully understood and communicated
  • Oversee production controls, progress reporting, and performance improvement
  • Implement Kilnbridge Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems
  • Lead the creation and approval of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Construction Phase Plans, and Quality Plans
  • Promote a culture of zero tolerance for unsafe practices and ensure all team members meet statutory training requirements
  • Ensure compliance with IMS, QMS, and environmental procedures, including incident reporting and occupational health standards
  • Plan and manage labour, plant, and material requirements in coordination with the Labour Manager and Commercial Team
  • Coordinate temporary works, subcontractors, suppliers, and design partners to meet programme and quality requirements
  • Raise requisitions for resources and subcontract packages in line with programme needs
  • Deliver projects within authorised budgets, optimising cost and quality
  • Monitor scope against contract requirements and promptly raise variations with the Commercial Manager or Project Director
  • Support tender submissions and attend tender handover meetings when required
  • Attend and contribute to internal and client progress meetings, H&S meetings, and coordination sessions
  • Ensure timely submission of information and documentation to clients, following required protocols
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Director on performance, risks, and project issues
