As a Property Underwriter, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio, leading on select cases and shaping outcomes by assessing risks, negotiating terms, and delivering high-quality underwriting decisions that uphold NFU Mutual’s trusted principles and rigorous standards.
You will be instrumental in delivering fair outcomes and exceptional service, forging strong relationships with agents, brokers, colleagues, and clients to not only meet expectations, but consistently raise the bar. You’ll bring your expertise into client conversations, supporting agents and brokers in meetings to enhance customer value, strengthen relationships, and uphold NFU Mutual’s reputation as a trusted, customer-first insurer.

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to build long lasting relationships. You will be able to influence decisions and adapt your communication style to effectively present information to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
We hope you would also be able to demonstrate the following:
Having a CII qualification or working towards would be desirable, however it is not essential and it is something we can support you to achieve should you join our organisation.
