Valayo are partnered with a leading global specialty insurer looking for a Property Pricing Actuary to join their Pricing team.
You will work across a broad Property portfolio, collaborating with UW on pricing decisions and model development (hx) and influencing business performance directly. The role is part of a global pricing function, with close collaboration across the UK and North America.
Your day to day will involve
- Developing and enhancing pricing models to assess price adequacy and rate change
- Performing portfolio and case pricing analyses across property lines
- Working closely with underwriters on pricing decisions, trends and performance
- Monitoring pricing performance and contributing to business planning and strategy
- Taking ownership of your area and helping guide more junior members of the team
The team is highly collaborative and technically very strong, working very closely with UWs on day-to-day pricing decisions. You’ll be operating as a key POC for specific products.

What they’re looking for...
- FIA/FCAS/FASSA (or equivalent)
- 5+ years' pricing experience in the London/Lloyd's market (case pricing experience is essential)
- Ability to work independently and partner closely with UWs and stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and ability to present clearly
- Coding experience (SQL, R or Python) is beneficial
