BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,100 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C, the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services. BDUK is very much in a growth phase.
BDUK engineering function operates a matrix organisation that consists of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes.
This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department that consists of the following technical areas:
- Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis
- Reliability and Maintainability
- Logistic Support Analysis
- Engineering Data Exploitation
- Obsolescence Management
- Technical Publications
- Product Support Engineering.
You will help to facilitate and implement Product improvement and maintenance of the UK Apache AH Mk 2 Air System Document Set, whilst remaining compliant with the appropriate MAA regulatory standards. This position will report to the Technical Publications Manager, based in Yeovil, but will be required to be based at Yeovil, on a hybrid working pattern. This position will be technically supported by our other capability specialists within the department as required. There may also be a requirement to support other platforms on an occasional basis, to meet surge requirements.
Boeing Defence UK is looking for an Aviation Technical Publications Development/Authoring Specialist. The successful applicant will be able to review and edit technical publications, documentation and related data. There is an additional requirement to be able to gather and analyse customer requirements, in order to understand task scope and required elements.
