We are looking for an experienced QA Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and performance of our data platforms, databases, and Power BI reporting solutions, helping the business make informed, data-driven decisions.
This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with architects, data engineers, Power Platform specialists, product owners, and business stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure our data solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, usability, and governance.

This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with architects, data engineers, Power Platform specialists, product owners, and business stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure our data solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, usability, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and build Data and Reports testing strategies in collaboration with Engineering and Power Platform teams.
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for Database/Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Validate data accuracy through reconciliation between source systems and Power BI reports.
- Test report functionality, including filters, slicers, drill-throughs, calculated measures, and visualisations.
- Assess performance and usability of dashboards under different conditions.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with BI developers to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and data engineers to align testing with reporting requirements.
- Conduct regression testing when new features or fixes are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards in BI reporting.
- Provide clear test summary reports and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Tester in a professional environment.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a QA with proven delivery of high-quality testing outcomes.
- Strong track record in testing Database and Power BI reports/dashboards.
- Solid understanding of Database/Power BI architecture, including data sources, modelling, DAX, and visual components.
- Skilled in SQL for querying databases and validating data.
- Experience in Python for writing test scripts and automation.
- Strong grasp of BI testing methodologies, ETL processes, and data validation techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Notebooks.
