Spire Murrayfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated
Quality & Governance Specialist to join our Governance team on a fixed term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical departments, collaborating closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement in patient safety and care quality.
Duties And Responsibilities
As a key member of the Quality Governance team, you will:
- Support incident management and investigations, ensuring timely and thorough reviews in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Produce detailed reports aligned with Spire’s governance processes.
- Assist in managing hospital-wide quality and governance actions.
- Help maintain compliance with HIW essential standards.
- Oversee the management and review of corporate and local policies, including developing and maintaining tracking systems, ensuring quality assurance and timely updates.
- Coordinate the dissemination and compliance tracking of NICE guidance and best practice standards.
- To support the delivery and development and delivery of the hospital’s audit and effectiveness programme, focusing on key areas for quality improvement.
- To work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to develop robust improvement plans in response to various clinical governance intelligence and oversee the implementation into practice.
- Facilitate the sharing of learning across departments, using digital systems to monitor and evidence action plan completion.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:
- Experience in healthcare governance, including audits, complaints, and incident investigations.
- Experience in managing incidents and undertaking investigations.
- Strong understanding of patient safety and quality improvement.
- Proven ability to support teams in achieving compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills with experience in data interpretation, report writing, and minute taking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
