In our Additive Manufacturing business, we offer the widest alloy range of metal powders on the market, under the world-renowned Osprey® brand.

We’re now looking for a Quality Engineer to support product quality in our metal powder production operations.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and detailed-driven Quality Engineer with experience in a laboratory or quality‑focused manufacturing environment. You’ll bring analytical skills, a sound understanding of ISO‑based Quality Management Systems, and the confidence to interpret results, investigate issues, and drive corrective and preventative actions.

You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, strong organisational capability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) is required. Knowledge of metal powders, analytical equipment, and laboratory methods would be advantageous.

Important responsibilities include
:

  • Promote a strong Safety‑First culture and maintain laboratory operations to high 5S standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external sampling and analytical testing (ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, XRF, LECO, Radiation, RoHS).
  • Perform in‑house XRF testing, manage calibration curves, and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Review product properties against specifications and authorise product release.
  • Translate customer requirements into robust Quality Plans, Sampling Plans, CoA's and CoC’s.
  • Lead quality investigations using structured problem‑solving tools (RCA, 5 Whys, 8D).
  • Support new product development with quality planning and new testing methodologies.
  • Manage analytical equipment maintenance, calibration, verification, and qualification.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support optimisation of laboratory processes, test methods, and external lab performance.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports and customer‑facing quality information

This role is based at our site situated in Neath, South Wales.
