The Vacancy
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our IT department as a Quality Engineer on a full time basis in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office with occasional travel to our London and Birmingham offices.

What will your role look like?
As a Quality Assurance Engineer specialising in the Microsoft Power Platform, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the quality and resilience of our low‑code estate. You’ll support the delivery of business‑critical applications, workflows and integrations that help our colleagues work smarter and more efficiently.
You’ll be a valued member of our Digital Workplace Team, working closely across the wider Core IT community and engaging with stakeholders across the firm. Together, you’ll help evolve how we use collaboration and productivity tools and ensure our Power Platform solutions are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
In this role, you’ll be central to delivering high‑quality Power Platform support and development projects. You’ll collaborate with Power Platform specialists, engineers, our Delivery Lead and our Business Analyst to ensure every change we deploy meets the highest standards.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
Owning the end‑to‑end test process for Power Platform solutions, including functional, regression and integration testing
Designing structured test plans, producing test summary reports, acceptance criteria and reusable test suites
Ensuring all changes across apps, flows and components undergo robust validation
Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) activity
Executing integration tests across Dataverse, SharePoint, M365 and Azure services
Maintaining a regression library and contributing to automation
Providing quality oversight for citizen developer submissions
Supporting structured defect management and ensuring issues are clearly documented and resolved
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
Practical experience in software testing, ideally within the Microsoft Power Platform
Strong test design capability and a methodical approach
Knowledge of DevOps tooling, ideally Azure DevOps
Familiarity with Dataverse concepts and environments
Experience working within Agile and DevOps teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work across multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
Exposure to test automation
An understanding of non‑functional test activities
Awareness of Power Platform governance frameworks
