JN Bentley is a leading engineering and construction company delivering essential infrastructure across the UK. As we expand our capabilities in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector, we are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support and lead quality processes on our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) schemes. This is a key role that ensures we deliver safe, compliant, and high‑performing assets for our clients.
As a Quality Manager within our Energy & Power division, you will take ownership of the quality assurance and quality control function across multiple BESS projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, supply chain partners, designers, and clients to ensure all works comply with project specifications, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Location: UK-wide (with travel to project sites)
The Role Of a Quality Manager Includes
As a Quality Manager within our Energy & Power division, you will take ownership of the quality assurance and quality control function across multiple BESS projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, supply chain partners, designers, and clients to ensure all works comply with project specifications, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Location: UK-wide (with travel to project sites)
The Role Of a Quality Manager Includes
- Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans for BESS schemes.
- Lead quality assurance activities across construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client requirements.
- Experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role within construction, energy, utilities, MEP, or similar sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure projects—preferably BESS, renewables, substations, or grid‑connected assets.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience specifically delivering BESS or renewable energy engineering projects.
