Description
As a Supervisor, you’ll respond to referrals and advise on eligibility for services. You will also support and assist a group of staff in the undertaking of social care assessments with individuals, and putting in place ongoing support plans to meet individual’s needs.
Our Supervisors assist the registered manager in the training and induction of staff to ensure appropriate competent staff for service. Your management skills will inspire your team and promote a culture of open communication.
You’ll set clear goals for your team, prioritise and direct the workload of the team. You’ll recognise high performance and feedback regularly to your team, whilst listening to and acting on their feedback to you around any concerns they may have. You’ll monitor your team’s performance, identifying training needs and provide coaching in ways which ensure good practices are developed and maintained within the service.
Deputise for the registered manager in their absence, including monitoring the quality of the service and taking actions to rectify operational difficulties.
Ultimately, your role is to lead a team to provide high quality, person-centred care in a way which promotes the dignity, privacy, safety and independence of people using the service.
Shifts: A mixture of late and earlies, between the hours of 7am and 10.30pm with alternate weekend working and bank holidays.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We cannot accept individuals on full-time sponsorship who are seeking this as a second job or as their main job, as care is no longer classified as a Skilled Worker occupation.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. We work to provide a fast, responsive service to individuals, who without immediate support, will be at risk of either being admitted to an acute hospital or care home or will be unnecessarily delayed from returning home. Our friendly and committed staff provide the highest level of Reablement support to vulnerable adults in West Northants.
We apply strength-based ways of working to enable people to regain their independence whilst assessing risks associated, which will include arranging equipment, connecting people to community resources and support, and increasing people’s skills and confidence.
Our Approach

- Rebuilds confidence after a spell of illness, deterioration in health, an injury, a hospital admission, or an acquired disability.
- Is different to traditional home care as it involves care providers standing back and encouraging the promotion of self-care skills that may have been lost.
- Supports people to regain or retain skills to enable them to manage with minimal or no support.
- Short-term and intensive.
- About setting and working toward meaningful goals.
- Aims to reconnect people with their communities to reduce social isolation.
- Can help to reduce the amount of care the person needs from carers and family.
- Reablement has a multi-disciplinary approach which means the teams work with one another to ensure your plan is person centred.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD to demonstrate knowledge of latest research and good practice guidance.
- QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant other discipline (if not held, must be willing to work towards).
- Knowledge and understanding of National Care Standards.
