The Reablement team provides a life changing service to the people of Manchester by helping them to regain or attain as much independence as they can in their own homes. Our Reablement Support Workers do this by motivating and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life.
You will be fully trained to assist people to meet their care needs, which can range from motivational support to personal care. This is a community-based role and involves travelling to support people in their own homes.
You will work to individualised support/goal plans, with the aim of encouraging people to do these things for themselves, wherever possible. We also promote and supply tech equipment to help people.
This role involves shift work that meets the needs of the citizens, these are typically 8.00 to 14.00 hrs and 16.00 to 22.00 hrs and successful applicants will work on a rota that is provided in advance to cover shifts that also include weekends and bank holidays.
We’re the local council for one of the UK’s most vibrant and diverse cities.
