You will work as a member of one of our Transactional Teams within Reed Smith Legal Solutions, a multi-disciplinary global team serving the Reed Smith global business. The role will be based in our Leeds delivery centre and will primarily support the RS London Real Estate group but may also be required to assist other practice areas or groups in the firm as needed from time to time.
You will work as part of a team helping to build and maintain an efficient and cost-effective solution for key Real Estate client services.

Responsibilities
- Handling day-to-day management of workload ie -
- Licences to assign, licences to sublet and alter, leases etc.
- SDLT/LTT Returns
- Sale and purchases
- LR Applications
- Landlord notices etc.
- Due diligence (Reports on Title, Certificates of Title etc.)
- Case and transaction management i.e. collating, proof reading and reviewing documents for accuracy
- Legal and non-legal research through use of databases and other appropriate sources
- Assisting with other transactional or legal tasks required by the Real Estate group
- Ensuring high standard of delivery of work in accordance with agreed service delivery requirements and quality control frameworks and in line with required hours targets and to assume responsibility for maintenance of the delivery frameworks as necessary
- Understanding and triaging new instructions and where appropriate delegating appropriately to other team members
- Identifying training needs and lapses in service levels and addressing these with the team or on an individual basis to ensure a high level of service delivery
- Developing, delivering and maintaining accurate documentation, training and process manuals for the team and identifying opportunities for and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Assisting the Sigma Lawyer with transition of work from within the firm to the Reed Smith Legal Solutions team
- Assisting with ad hoc administrative and legal tasks under instruction

- Keeping up to date with developments in law and practice to ensure high quality of legal services is delivered
Education/Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Law degree or post-graduate legal certification/ qualification helpful but not essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of commercial real estate legal work as a paralegal, ideally within a full service commercial law firm.
