We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at The Johnston Veterinary Centre.

Location: Johnston Veterinary Centre, Wellingborough, NN8 3LS

Contract: Part Time Permanent

Hours: 31.13

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 1pm to 7.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturday's 8am to 12.30.

You will be working alongside 2 full time receptionists, 6 nurses and 4 vets to provide good front of house customer service and care to our clients and patients.

About The Role

Day-to-day Duties Of The Role Will Include

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • Ensuring the front of house is kept comfortable and clean for our clients and patients
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What We're Looking For In Our Veterinary Receptionist

  • Previous Receptionist experience is not essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Proactive approach to daily tasks to meet the needs of our clients and support the wider practice team
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
