Job Title: Regional Operational Manager – Wastewater Treatment Operations
Location: Hampshire and Isle of Wight - Hybrid (4 office/ site remaining WFH)- Driving licence essential due to site visit requirements
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum depending on skills and experience plus £400 per month car allowance
About The Role
Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for managing teams and optimizing wastewater treatment operations? Southern Water is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee our wastewater treatment facilities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our treatment sites within this operational patch, leading a dedicated operational team within the area.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our treatment sites within this operational patch, leading a dedicated operational team within the area.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Lead health and safety performance across all wastewater treatment sites with a no-compromise approach.
- Drive a strong and positive safety culture through visible leadership and technical safety expertise.
Participation in the Incident Management out-of-hours rota.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven senior operational management experience within wastewater, utilities or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong technical understanding of health and safety management.
- Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary operational teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational budgets and cost control.
- Ability to lead cultural change and performance improvement.
