Description
Responsible for providing support for relevant actuarial analyses, including IFRS estimated cash flows, reserve analysis, loss experience analysis, and assessments of program profitability and performance. Responsible for responding to Actuarial and Finance related questions regarding a full range of property and casualty and credit life and related insurance products.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management or Accounting
- 5+ years of experience working with Property & Casualty insurance products
- Actuarial designation of Associate or Fellow (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries)
- Knowledge of regulations including UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS 17, and Solvency II/UK
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven, and self-motivated
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access (or other data querying tool) skills
- Proficient in SQL
- Attainment of actuarial designation of Associate or Fellow (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries)

- Prepare actuarial reports ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Present key results and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Perform methods and assumptions reviews, including benchmarking to market data.
- Enhance quarterly data collection and reporting process used by actuarial to present findings to key stakeholders including underwriting, claims, and management.
- Prepare IFRS 17 Estimated Cash Flow Templates
- Perform reinsurance risk transfer analyses
- Other duties as assigned

- Positions require a theoretical and conceptual knowledge of a technical / functional specialization
- Problems are typically solved through high level technical analysis
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
