An exciting opportunity has arisen for 8 months to cover maternity leave within a dynamic multidisciplinary integrated community respiratory service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic respiratory physiotherapist to co-lead the service alongside the nurse lead and feel this would suit either a current 8a or band 7 looking to develop and gain experience.
The current physiotherapist leads the pulmonary rehabilitation, home oxygen and physiotherapy services including airway clearance, dysfunctional breathing and chronic dyspnoea management.
The role is currently spilt approximately 50/50 clinical/managerial with shared team lead responsibilities with the lead nurse and advice and support from the respiratory consultant and 8b cardiac nurse lead.
The Community Cardio-Respiratory Services is an integrated service, consisting of a lead respiratory consultant, an 8a nurse lead, clinical specialist nurses, physiotherapists, a physiologist and support and clerical staff.
We work across hospital and community pathways, providing community services in clinic and home-based settings.
If you have some but not all the desired skills and experience we would still encourage you to apply as we are a dynamic and supportive team who will help the right candidate to develop into the role.
- To provide a Clinical Specialist Respiratory service, utilising expert clinical and non-clinical skills to triage, assess and manage patients to the service.
