Are you a Band 6 Physiotherapist within the NHS looking to widen or consolidate your knowledge and skills in Respiratory Physiotherapy?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Physiotherapist to join our newly established Band 6 Respiratory Rotational Scheme. We are looking for an experienced therapist with a passion for the management of patients with acute or chronic respiratory illness.
This position currently offers rotations through the specialist areas of Critical Care / General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine / Bronchiectasis service.
This full time post (37.5 hours per week) will require you to work across a 7 day period, working weekends on a rota basis.
You will be required to work closely with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team including Consultants, Occupational therapists, SLT's, Dietetics, Nursing and admin staff.
As a Band 6 clinician you will need to have an enthusiastic, problem solving approach to patient management and be forward thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstration of the ability to support other team members are important. The successful candidate will gain experience in assessing and treating a wide variety of clinical conditions and develop managerial skills by teaching and supervising Physiotherapy staff and students.
To assist the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in the prioritisation and organisation of the physiotherapy service in the rotational areas of Critical Care & General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery & Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine & Bronchiectasis service and to be actively involved in service developments in these clinical areas.
