Job Summary
An opportunity has opened up in our Rheumatology Department. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Band 5 Rheumatology Support Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will become a valued member of our established team, providing care to patients with a wide variety of Rheumatological conditions.
**Please note that we have no access to OSCE support courses, and nurses pending registration are welcome to apply but must be able to evidence that they have satisfied the NMC Objective Structured Clinical Examination Test of Competence**
Main duties of the job
- To have a supportive role to the Rheumatology Nurse Specialist team of 7 nurses and provide a nursing contribution to the clinical management of patients with Rheumatological Disease.
- Administer Intravenous Infusions of infliximab, rituximab and other rheumatological medications, alongside bisphosphonates on a day-case basis.
- Support the clinical nurse specialists to provide open access to patients through the Rheumatology helpline and e-mails ensuring specialised advice and support is given.
