Role Description
We are seeking a Risk Manager to support risk oversight for the UK and Europe business area. Based in London and operating during London trading hours, this role serves as the primary regional risk contact, monitoring the firm’s market risk exposures and supporting coordination across relevant entities within the Finalto group.
The role works closely with trading, sales and risk governance teams to provide real-time risk monitoring, exposure analysis and escalation support in a fast-moving trading environment, ensuring risk-taking activities and client risk deals remain aligned with approved risk parameters and governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse market risk exposures and risk-taking activities during London trading hours.
- Act as the primary risk contact for the UK and Europe business area.
- Identify changes in exposure, concentration risks and market developments.
- Detect abnormal trading behaviours and identify toxic trading patterns or adverse client flow trends.
- Work closely with internal teams to manage risk exposure arising from client trading activity.
- Prepare analysis and raise risk limit adjustment requests through internal governance processes.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, escalation and risk governance standards are maintained.
- Maintain visibility of risk developments across relevant group entities to support a consolidated view of exposure.
- Support internal coordination and alignment with regional regulatory expectations when required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in market risk, trading risk or brokerage risk roles.
- Experience in B2B brokerage or institutional trading environments with risk-taking responsibilities.
- Experience in FX, CFDs, derivatives or electronic trading environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of client flow risk, market risk exposure, liquidity dynamics and trading activity analysis.
- Experience analysing options risk and Greeks exposure (Delta, Gamma, Vega, etc.) is an advantage.
- Experience analysing toxic flow, adverse selection or latency-sensitive trading strategies is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex exposure data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams (trading, sales, risk governance, senior management) as well as external parties including regulators or partners.
