The Vacancy
CJ Associates part of the RSK Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead rotary driller to join their growing team based in Avonmouth, Bristol, UK.
The Role:
The position will involve working on with our rotary rig fleet across a variety of sites and sectors. The position will involve the possibility of working away throughout the week with accommodation provided directly by the company and a daily subsistence allowance provided.
Responsibilities:
Operation of multi-purpose geotechnical rotary drilling rigs
Undertake geotechnical sampling, coring, open holing and in-situ testing to recognised industry standards
High quality installation of geotechnical and geo-environmental monitoring equipment
Responsible for onsite drilling operations and management of Drilling Support Operatives
Maintain company drilling rig, equipment and vehicles to a high standard
Produce quality daily driller log sheets
Follow company operational and health and safety procedures
Requirements for the position:
In-depth working knowledge of drilling rigs and their capabilities.
Minimum of two years lead rotary drilling experience
Excellent knowledge of the UK ground investigation industry, standards and working practices
A good working knowledge of health and safety practices
Willing to work throughout the UK and stay away overnight as needed
Excellent communication skills
Clean driving licence, ideally with entitlement for towing.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary - Up to £45,000 depending on experience
