The post-holder will form part of a team within the Imaging Department to ensure the provision of a safe, efficient and high quality service whilst adhering to Departmental and Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust protocols. In the absence of the Lead Radiographers, the post holder will take responsibility for the operation and delivery of the service including prioritising and managing the workload and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are achieved. The post-holder will be experienced in general radiography and mammography and will be expected to act as a point of contact for enquiries from referrers to the service, patient enquiries and to other Radiographers.

North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) currently provides a symptomatic breast service and is proud of its forward-thinking breast radiology team. We are committed to role extension, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Our department has fully embraced the four-tier workforce model, comprising Mammography Associates, Mammographers, and Advanced Practitioners. Advanced roles include film reading, breast ultrasound, and interventional procedures.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer / Mammographer to join our small, friendly, and multidisciplinary breast team. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with a caring and compassionate approach, willing to take on responsibility when required.
This role includes rotation through the general radiology department and participation in the out-of-hours service is essential
