GPS Healthcare is currently seeking a Salaried GP to join our dedicated team, delivering care across our six practices in Solihull. Were looking for motivated and passionate individuals who value the core principles of General Practice continuity of care, strong patient relationships, and collaborative working.

This role offers 4 sessions per week on Thursday & Friday at our GPS Healthcare Surgery (Location to be Confrimed) providing flexibility to suit your availability.

We actively support our GPs in developing areas of special interest and encourage involvement in roles that align with personal passion and practice needs supporting both professional growth and practice innovation.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide the full range of general medical services managing a caseload with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, in line with the GPS Healthcare objectives of providing the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients

To support the clinical and administrative team to manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload. There will be the opportunity over time to take part in leading on key disease areas and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse patient list.

Involvement in audits, practice & service developments, QI work, teaching and GSF/MDT meetings

Reception Signposting a priority, GP Workflow Administrators and an Acute Care Team

A team of Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, ANPs and Social Prescribers to support GPs and patients

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Primary medical degree
• Vocationally trained and accredited GP with MRCGP

Experience

Essential

• A vocationally trained and accredited GP with MRCGP, excellent knowledge of NHS and clinical procedures.
• A good knowledge of and interest in general practice and primary care and a good working knowledge of national primary care strategies and ideas on how to implement these within the practice.
• Experience of working as part of a multi disciplinary team, able to put the needs of the practice and team ahead of individual needs and at busy times, periods of increased workload and respond in a flexible way to functions in workload.

Desirable

• An interest in a particular disease area and willingness to take a leadership role within it. To demonstrate the ability to focus on long-term goals rather than short-term issues/details.
• A good working knowledge of national primary care strategies and ideas on how to implement these within the practice and are able to focus on long term strategic goals rather than short term issues / details.

Skills Required

Essential

• Excellent understanding of clinical IT system utilised by practice ( SystmOne)

Desirable

• Experience in using the Microsoft suite of programmes
• Willingness to contribute to and participate in a peer support group, offering support within a clinical team
