Follwing the release of ARRS GP funding, Colne Valley Primary Care Network (PCN) is looking for a GP to join our team. We are seeking someone who is newly qualified within the last 2 years, who has not yet held a substantive position post qualification. The role will intially be for a fixed term, two-year postition and for 6-8 sessions per week.

The successful candidate will be based at the Coggeshall Surgery, which is a semi-rural, part dispensing practice with 3 partners known for its reputation of being a friendly and high supportive surgery with an outstanding rating on its most recent CQC inspection.

The Coggeshall Surgery is also a training practice and actively encourages growth and development whether you are a first year student or an established clinician or staff member.

Role Description

This is a 6-8 session per week site role for a Salaried GP at Colne Valley PCN. Located in Coggeshall, the GP will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients. The day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing and treating various illnesses, performing routine check-ups, and providing preventive care. The GP will also collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Medicine and Primary Care.
• Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
• Experience in Family Medicine and Nursing
• Aptitude for Training and continuous professional development.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Delivering Enhanced services.
• Assisting with online clinical triage where it is used.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and interface seamlessly with healthcare professionals.
• Medical degree and relevant GP qualifications
• Experience in an NHS setting is an advantage
• Awareness of compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines e.g prescribing , confidentiality, data protection & health and safety.
