We're looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for potential customers, playing a critical role in driving General Index’s growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
General Index (GX) delivers future-proof commodity prices. Our spot prices and forward curves are calculated algorithmically based on thousands of daily trades collated from 240+ data partners, using transparent and consistent methodologies and a compliant approach.
Producing 5,700+ daily prices in crude oil, refined products, natural gas and energy transition, we democratize access to benchmarks that represent real market activity. We’re easy to use, with hassle-free integrations and straight-forward licensing - providing more choice to the industry.
With offices in London, Krakow, Houston and Singapore, GX is now scaling our go-to-market team and we are looking for enthusiastic SDRs to join us, learning and growing alongside our business.

- Commercially-savvy. You are comfortable working with numbers, working alongside our sales management to pull together complex proposals.
You will:
- Prospect into target accounts via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
- Qualify inbound marketing leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Research prospects and identify key decision-makers.
- Schedule discovery meetings and product demos for Account Executives
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM.
- Follow up consistently with prospects through multi-touch sequences.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and messaging feedback.
- Meet or exceed monthly quotas for meetings set and opportunities created.
- Stay up to date on product offerings, industry trends, and competitors.
- Develop a firm understanding of our data and markets – articulate how our data products solve problems and create opportunities for our customers.
- Be confident using AI tooling to enable and finesse our GTM processes
You’re an ideal candidate if you:
- Have around 12 months’ experience in a similar Sales Development role.
- Have an interest in Commodities markets and how these operate.
